I purchased a new sketchbook recently and I've been using it when I'm done with my work, but there's still time before I can leave for the day. As a result, there's a lot of sketches of the area surrounding the school. The exceptions to this are the wings, the fountain plaza, and the Alexander Caldi kinetic statue. Those were done this last Sunday in a nearby park, at an urban drawing meetup.
I've seen Caldi's work before at the MOMA in SF but seeing them out in the open air is better— the wind will actually blow them around. It's awesome to see them change positions. . . . It's a bit unfortunate when drawing it though, so that drawing isn't finished. The other really unfinished looking drawing on the bottom row was done out the window at work when I had ten more minutes to kill before I could leave.
